Operation Write Home Virtual Card Making Party Challenge #2

Creatures great and small! Operation Write Home http://operationwritehome.org/ is hosting a blog hop and virtual card making party this week end and this is for the second stop on the hop: http://deliteful-gifts.blogspot.com/2013/02/owh-vcmp-all-creatures-great-and-small.html Critters! Puppies, cats, elephants, seals... critters is the challenge! I don't do digi's that was an optional part of the challenge. Here's my Hello! Octo! card:
My PLM (Please Love Me) box doesn't have any digi's so I pulled an image I had already stamped and colored but hadn't loved enough to give a home. I added more color (shading) and some pearl pen to her and a sticker flower that was wanting desperately to be adopted by a project. Those rock stickers had been so lonely in my PLM box I had to use those as the bottom of the sea. Oh, I had the Ric rack out from the first challenge on the Operation Write Home Virtual Card Making Party blog hop http://scrappinintervention.blogspot.com/2013/02/zig-zag-your-cards.html There she is mini Octo.saying hello.  Now it's your turn.... You Design it

Operation Write Home Virtual Card Making Party! Challenge # 1

I enjoy making cards for our military to send home to their loved ones through OWH (Operation Write Home) and this weekend OWH http://operationwritehome.org/ is having a blog hop full of challenges. As always, I'll be using my Please Love Me boxes (only things I already have on hand that need a new home). http://scrappinintervention.blogspot.com/2013/02/zig-zag-your-cards.html is the first hop on the blog. The first challenge is to use a zig zag pattern or cheveron. I don't own any cheveron but I do have some ric rac ribbon.

I decided to use it as the stems for a garden scene being visited by a lovely little fairy instructing me to make a wish... *cheveron? lol So there is my take on zigzag from my PLM supplies. Now it's your turn... You Design it....

Valentine Card

My goal this year is to use as much as I can of what I have on hand.My PLEASE LOVE ME boxes! I have all these things that are sitting there waiting to be loved enough to be placed on a project, any project, like homeless puppies or kitties. No, no, not as sad as that but... these elements, papers, stickers, ribbons, need a home! A place to shine brightly and bring joy so....
I saw a challange on yourpaperpantry to use cardboard so here goes:
So, I had everything in my "please love me" (scrap) boxes. The cardboard came via a scrap pack I just had to buy when I was starting out and had no scraps. Red cardboard??? I truely thought I'd NEVER have use for it. Now to use the blue, green, and rainbow pieces... The butterfly punch is MarthaStewart and its a Recolection boarder on the red cardboard. The stamped love image was in my stash as well. For a piece of scrap I thought I'd never use, I really like how it turned out. Now it's your turn... You Design it...

Stampyland No black ink no colored images -Merry Christmas

Here I used an inkadoo? stamp and an old fiskars mistletoe stamp with a martha stewart punch and some prima flowers and stickles oh and a gold brad. I was inspired to use a "tile card" method I learned at a stampin up class. Thanks Laura!

Stampyland Nov Challenge NO black ink no colored images -Happy Birthday

Ok, For this I used sponge stamping and stickles, and ribbon all stash stuff.

Stampyland no black ink Monthly Challenge - Friends

I decided to try and do one a week for the monthly challenge. Oh well, I did three!
I used ink "blending" and sponge stamping to creat the background, and an acrylic embossing paste with an old brass stencil for the word friend. Nestablities for the cut. I guess technically no Stamped image was used but I did only use the colored inks! Happy Stampin Supplies!
